As chief operating officer, Klander has led the firm through strategic expansion and innovation, recently overseeing the hiring of five new attorneys and guiding development of practice areas in family law, corporate law, real estate, and construction. She has championed attorney wellness initiatives, including leading successful implementation of a Minnesota Supreme Court pilot project allowing attorneys to receive presumptive deadline extensions for personal and mental health needs.

Klander has built a thriving compliance consulting practice, regularly advising hospitals, health care systems, law firms, and financial institutions on navigating complex state and federal regulations including HIPAA, GLBA, CCPA, GDPR, FCRA, TILA, and FDCPA. Her proactive risk management guidance helps organizations maintain regulatory compliance and strengthen internal policies.

Currently serving as president of the Hennepin County Bar Association, Klander previously held roles as president-elect and treasurer. She has championed initiatives focused on inclusion, diversity, and community engagement while serving on the board of directors of the Hennepin County Bar Foundation, which supports access to justice initiatives and public service legal programs.

She previously served on the board of the Cancer Benefit Fund and has mentored law students through the William Mitchell College of Law Mentorship Program.

Her professional leadership extends to ACA International, where she has served on the Collection Notice Review Panel and as state compliance chair for Minnesota and North Dakota. She co-chaired the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association’s New Lawyers Committee, providing resources for young professionals entering the field. As a sought-after speaker and legal thought leader, Klander frequently contributes to industry publications and continuing legal education programming.
