Jenny Covington is the Minneapolis office co-managing shareholder at Carlton Fields, where she co-founded and co-leads the firm’s first Midwest expansion alongside longtime colleague Molly Given. Based at the IDS Center in Minneapolis, Covington has established herself as a prominent defense attorney and strategic leader in complex litigation.

In 2023, Covington served as lead trial counsel in a landmark case where she assembled and led an all-women trial team. The team secured a defense verdict in just 45 minutes following a complex two-week trial, marking a significant milestone in promoting female representation in high-profile trial work. This achievement underscored her exceptional litigation skills and commitment to advancing gender equity in the courtroom.

Covington has delivered multiple significant summary judgment victories in jurisdictions across the country, reinforcing her reputation as a national-caliber defense attorney. Her legal expertise spans complex federal litigation, with particular strength in areas including federal preemption.
