DFL Congressman-elect Rick Nolan adds senior staffers

Former Duluth City Council president Jeff Anderson, who ran against Nolan this summer in a DFL primary election, will serve as Nolan's district director. Anderson became a supporter of Nolan after the primary. He will now oversee Nolan's Minnesota congressional offices across the northeastern district, including planned offices in Duluth and Brainerd.

Bachmann leads 2012 money chase

Minnesota House and Senate candidates took in more than $6 million during the second quarter of 2012, according to reports filed with the Federal Elections Commission. U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann raked in the biggest haul at $1.9 million. That's more than six times the amount raised by DFL challenger Jim Graves in the Sixth Congressional District.
