Patrick M. Fenlon, a partner at Fox Rothschild, has built a record of success as a business litigator representing clients in a broad range of industries. He has tried complex commercial cases in courts throughout the country in matters involving insurance, class-action lawsuits, products-liability lawsuits and health care.
His career highlights include a $25 million award for a Fortune 15 health care company in a dispute over insurance coverage and a $1.5 million jury verdict for a publicly traded consumer product manufacturer and retailer in an insurance-coverage lawsuit.
In addition, Fenlon devotes a large portion of his practice to advising corporate policyholders on coverage matters including general commercial, professional and fiduciary liability. A St. Paul native, Fenlon got his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, summa cum laude, in 2008 and then joined the Minneapolis firm of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly. He was named partner there in 2015, one year before the firm merged with Fox Rothschild.
To Fenlon, the most enjoyable aspect of his work is his ongoing client contact.
“I’m fortunate to work with a number of clients I’ve been able to develop pretty close relationships with over the years,” he says. “One of the most enjoyable aspects of what I do is getting a chance to intimately get to know my clients’ businesses and what their objectives are.”
