U.S. Rep. Erik Paulsen‘s campaign expanded its war chest in the third quarter between July 1 and Sept. 30 by raising $317,640.
In a filing Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission, the first term Republican representing Minnesota’s suburban 3rd Congressional District reported raising $923,456 for the entire election cycle. His campaign has $725,219 in cash-on-hand as of the close of the reporting period. Paulsen’s war chest grew from $488,302 in cash-on-hand at the end of the second quarter’s June 30 reporting deadline.
Paulsen’s fundraising haul for the most recent quarter was less than the $354,581 he raised in the second quarter.
Paulsen, a former state representative from Eden Prairie, doesn’t face a DFL challenger yet for 2010. But there has been sporadic buzz that state Sen. Terri Bonoff, DFL-Minnetonka, might enter the race.
