Paulsen holds large fundraising advantage in 3rd CD race

GOP U.S. Rep. Erik Paulsen has a gargantuan lead over his DFL challenger Jim Meffert in the latest fundraising numbers.

Paulsen raised $380,000 in the second quarter. During the 2010 election cycle, Paulsen has raised $1.9 million and has $1.34 million in cash-on-hand.

Meffert raised $98,000 in the second quarter in his bid to unseat Paulsen, who is serving his first term representing Minnesota’s 3rd Congressional District and is a former state House majority leader. All told, Meffert has raised $215,000 and has $48,000 in the bank.
