Evidence – Prior Bad Acts

Listen to this article

Where the prosecutor asked an officer a question about the circumstances of entry and arrest; in a multisentence response, the officer made one statement suggesting that defendant had a violent background such that the officers wanted their “guns out”; and the statement was isolated; we conclude that although the officer’s statement was inadmissible character , it is unlikely that it had any effect on the jury verdict, particularly in view of the strong evidence against defendant.

We reject the additional claims of error.

Affirmed.
