Litify has launched LitifyAI Instant Demands, a new artificial intelligence capability intended to help plaintiffs’ law firms prepare demand letters and supporting exhibit packets within the company’s case-management platform.
Developed through an expanded partnership with plaintiff-law AI provider Supio, the tool analyzes case documents, extracts relevant facts and produces an initial demand narrative accompanied by organized and cited exhibits. Firms can apply their own templates, formatting and preferred language before attorneys conduct a final review.
For personal injury firms, the principal value is the potential to reduce the manual work involved in assembling medical records, bills, damages information, insurance policy details and other supporting materials. Keeping those activities within a single platform may also reduce duplicate data entry, workflow interruptions and delays in moving cases toward settlement discussions.
The tool connects with other Litify features that classify incoming documents, create source-linked medical chronologies, track damages and compare them with available insurance coverage. When a case reaches a firm-defined threshold, the system can initiate preparation of a demand packet and notify an attorney when it is ready for review.
Litify said the combined workflow could eliminate more than 40 hours of manual work across a case and automate an estimated 20% to 50% of pre-litigation activity. Those figures were provided by the company and may vary by firm, case type and existing processes.
Founded in 2016, Litify provides cloud-based case management, intake, workflow and business operations software for law firms and corporate legal departments. Supio develops AI tools focused on medical-record analysis and case preparation for plaintiffs’ firms.
