Mark D. Williamson is a business lawyer and chair of Lathrop GPM’s Business Transactions Practice Group. He predominantly represents buyers and sellers of businesses in mergers and acquisitions, with extensive experience advising business owners, public and private companies, private equity firms and management teams on transactions generally valued between $10 million and $500 million.
Williamson guides clients through mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings, leveraged buyouts, securities compliance, corporate governance and general business matters. He also serves as counsel to privately held companies and ESOPs. His industry experience spans ecommerce, energy, health care, manufacturing, technology, higher education, retail and waste management, among others.
Notable representations include Home Instead in its acquisition by Honor Technology creating a combined organization with more than $2.1 billion in home care services revenue, a publicly held health care company in a stock-for-stock merger valued in excess of $1 billion, and the Benson Power Plant in its $24.5 million sale to Xcel Energy. He also mentors younger lawyers within Lathrop GPM’s business transactions team.
