Nicole Engisch arrived at private practice by way of three distinct legal careers — civil litigator, state court trial judge, and federal prosecutor — a combination that gives her unusual depth in government enforcement matters. A partner at Dorsey & Whitney LLP, Engisch co-chairs both the firm’s Government Solutions and Investigations practice group and its Higher Education and Academic Research practice group.
As a federal prosecutor, Engisch investigated and tried some of the largest white collar cases in Minnesota federal court history, including an $80 million financial services and bankruptcy fraud case — the largest bankruptcy fraud prosecution ever brought in Minnesota.
In private practice, Engisch represents clients in False Claims Act investigations, FCPA and anticorruption matters, health care fraud, securities fraud and internal corporate investigations.
“Nicole is an accomplished leader and strategic problem-solver. As co-chair of Dorsey’s Government Solutions & Investigations practice, she takes a measured approach to solving clients’ problems and possesses the expertise to take a complicated and challenging situation and distill it to ensure decisionmakers make the wisest choices,” said Peter Nelson, Dorsey & Whitney’s managing partner.
