Michael Rifanburg's most recent newspaper job was as publisher of the Citizen in Auburn, New York; he was also the Citizen's ad director from 2004 to 2008.

Mark A. McEachen, 56, replaces James P. Dolan, who stepped down after The Dolan Company announced in March that it would seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The Dolan Company (OTC: DOLN), the Minneapolis-based owner of Finance & Commerce Inc. – which owns the Politics in Minnesota/Capitol Report publication group – will seek bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 next week in a process that Dolan officials say should result in a speedy exit from bankruptcy and smooth continued operation of the company.

The event will put DFL nominee Mark Dayton, GOP nominee Tom Emmer and Independent nominee Tom Horner onstage for a 'unique conversation-style debate' at the Pantages Theater on Sept. 15.
