The demolition project that encompasses more than 700,000 square feet of building space along the Mississippi River in St. Paul is more expensive than expected.

With one deal down, St. Paul Port Authority officials are confident others will follow.

The Met Council maintains the grants will help clean more than 70 contaminated acres, add 1,500 jobs and increase the tax base by more than $2.2 million.

A Ramsey County District Court ruling that would have allowed the St. Paul Port Authority to liquidate almost $52 million in revenue bonds has been set aside by the Minnesota Supreme Court, which ruled that the lower court lacked jurisdiction over the case.
