Court order keeps block on daycare unionization
The controversial law, passed earlier this year, would allow local union AFSCME to organize an election to try and unionize the state's 12,000-some home daycare providers. Lawsuit seeks to stop cuts to family care providers
Jean Rogers is a 58-year-old resident of the White Earth reservation in northwestern Minnesota. Since 2005 she has taken care of her 88-year-old mother, who suffers from dementia. Last year her mother fell and broke her hip and now requires a walker to move about the house.
