U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann raised more money in 2009 than any other House member from Minnesota. The 6th Congressional District legislator pulled in more than $1.5 million and reported having just over $1 million in the bank.
Ellison won’t rule out voting for health care bill lacking public option
U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison has been among the most ardent supporters of the so-called public option. In the past he's explicitly stated that he won't vote for a bill that doesn't create a government-run health care plan to compete with private companies. But in an interview with PIM today, Ellison wouldn't rule out supporting a bill that lacks such a provision.
Ellison: Special military payments available
Special payments are being made available to more than 185,000 military service members who have had their enlistments involuntarily extended since Sept. 11, 2001, U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., announced.
