After going down in defeat this morning in a state House committee, the immediate fate of the Minnesota Vikings stadium bill is in the hands of the Senate State and Local Government Committee.

There was an apparent outbreak of bipartisanship this morning during a state House committee hearing. Staunch conservative Rep. Mark Buesgens won an amendment on a narrow voice vote in the State and Local Government Operations committee.

The House State and Local Government committee this morning defeated a bill to jettison the lieutenant governor's office. The committee voted the bill down 9-7.
