ACLU files lawsuit on behalf of OccupyMPLS protesters

The American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota has filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court seeking to overturn restrictions on the Occupy Minneapolis protests taking place in the plaza of the Hennepin County Government Center. The civil complaint alleges that Hennepin County officials are violating the constitutional rights of protesters.

ACLU calls on Hennepin County to scrap new rules for OccupyMN protesters

The American Civil Liberties Union of Minnesota is warning Hennepin County officials that new restrictions on OccupyMN protesters may violate their constitutional rights to free speech. In a letter Thursday to Hennepin County Administrator Richard Johnson, ACLU attorney Teresa Nelson called on county officials to withdraw the proposed changes.
