Republican U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann is spending some of the $4 million she has raised in her congressional campaign to air a new television ad.

More than $2 million was raised by candidates in the 6th Congressional District in 2009. That makes it easily the most expensive U.S. House contest in Minnesota so far this election cycle.

Minnesota state Sen. Tarryl Clark, DFL-St. Cloud, who hopes to challenge Rep. Michele Bachmann for her seat in the U.S. House next year, announced members of her campaign team this morning.

The team brings "a wealth of Minnesota experience and a record of unseating incumbents" to the campaign, Clark said in a statement.
