CNN drops Paulsen from list of 100 most competitive House contests

U.S. Rep. Erik Paulsen has been dropped from CNN's list of the 100 most competitive House races in the country. In the wake of polling that shows Republicans with a 10-point edge in generic balloting -- the largest such advantage ever recorded -- four additional Republican incumbents have been removed from the rundown of contests that warrant watching.

Madia solicits money for Missouri congressional challenger

Ashwin Madia, who lost a 2008 bid for an open House seat in Minnesota's Third Congressional District, is raising funds for a congressional challenger in Missouri. Madia sent out an email solicitation to supporters this morning on behalf of Tommy Sowers, an Iraq War veteran who is seeking to oust seven-term incumbent Jo Ann Emerson.
