Brandon Anderson’s novel idea raises money, legal questions

Republican Senate candidate Brandon Anderson needed $800, and quick, in order to qualify for the public subsidy for legislative candidates. So he proposed that he and fellow GOP candidates swap donations to each other to help them all qualify -- a move that has attracted the attention of the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.

KSTP survey shows momentum for Romney, cash-strapped conservatives

After weeks of underwhelming financial numbers for Minnesota conservatives, this week starts with a much more encouraging set of digits. A new poll from Survey USA and KSTP finds an upswing in support for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in the state, and 52 percent of respondents planning to vote in favor of the ballot question to ban gay marriage.
