“I figured getting paid to run my mouth might not be a bad deal,” Zawila said.
That skill has led to good things for Zawila’s clients. Since joining Robins Kaplan three years ago, he has been involved in large settlements and a successful appeal.
For example, Zawila briefed, argued and won an appeal at the Minnesota Court of Appeals to reverse a dismissal from summary judgment for superseding causation.
Zawila said he jumped at the chance to work at Robins as a way to get his feet wet as soon as possible.
“I wanted as much substantive experience as a young attorney as I could get,” he said. “Joining Robins gave me a chance to really jump in the deep end — privacy work depositions, trial work, you name it.”
