Zambrana practices in the areas of product liability with expertise in class action defense. The focus of her practice has been defending class actions in a variety of areas, including food labeling, medical device and agricultural products.
How and when did you know you wanted to study law and pursue it as a career?
It was in college. I loved reading, writing and analysis, and law lends itself to that. And it’s more practical than English literature, which is what I first thought I wanted to study. It was a way to combine the things I love.
What do you find the most rewarding or love best about working in the legal profession?
When I get to work on a team of lawyers that are able to come together to make a good solution. That interaction is fun and stimulating.
What inspires you and motivates you to achieve your goals?
I’m a perfectionist, so that’s always a motivator. I always want to do a good job.
What’s the best piece of advice that you ever received?
A lot of people have told me, you’re in this for the long haul, so be sure to take time for yourself. And I think that has actually made be a better lawyer.
What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I grew up on a blueberry farm in southwest Michigan.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love to read for fun. And during the warm weather, I love to walk, run and get fresh air.
