Among other accomplishments, the three were lead paralegals in Blackwell’s defense of 3M Company in the federal Bair Hugger Multidistrict Litigation, in which the firm won the dismissal of one of the 10 largest MDLs in the country.
How and when did you know you wanted to pursue a career in the legal field?
Hubbard: Probably high school. My grandpa was an attorney, and I have cousins who have law degrees. I finished my law degree in Mexico in 2004. I moved here in 2008 and thought about going back to law school, but I decided to pursue the paralegal path instead.
What do you find the most rewarding or love best about working in the legal profession?
Hinds: The different aspects of the cases and clients. There are so many different avenues that you can take with a case. Once you start digging in, you get amazed at how everything works.
What inspires you and motivates you to achieve your goals?
St. Clair: I just keep double-checking my work. I want my projects to be perfect.
What’s the best piece of advice that you ever received?
Hubbard: Enjoy what you do, and do your best — even if it’s something minor
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
St. Clair: I have three dogs. We do a lot of fostering and volunteering with local shelters. I also like to dogsled
Hinds: I have two young children, and I enjoy volunteering with Second Harvest Heartland.
Hubbard: I love reading and spending time with my baby, who just turned 1. I’m learning a lot!
