Those at the Minnesota State Bar Association annual convention last month saw decades of service to the profession and the MSBA commemorated.

Chief Justice Lorie Gildea recognized that the convention was one of her last opportunities to publicly laud — or publicly embarrass — Executive Director Tim Groshens who will step down in 2019 after 34 years as executive director. “I have deeply valued Tim’s wisdom, his forthrightness, and his tireless efforts on behalf of our justice system. There is no question that his abilities as a strategic thinker and consensus builder have had an immeasurable impact on Minnesota’s bench and bar,” said the chief justice.
