Ron Meshbesher died Wednesday, June 13, at the age of 85, according to the The Minneapolis Star Tribune. He had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and recently moved into an assisted living facility, the paper reported. He is survived by his wife, Kim, and four daughters. No information is yet available on memorial services.
Everyone knew Meshbesher, even those who never met him. “He could connect with anyone and make them feel special,” said Mark Streed, of Meshbesher & Spence. “That’s part of the reason he was such a good lawyer in the courtroom.” Opponents, judges and court personnel loved him as well, Streed said.
He was highly competitive but “as bulldog as he was in court, he was a puppy dog in the office,” Streed said. “He was everyone’s favorite uncle. All of us who became trial lawyers at Meshbesher & Spence loved to carry our stories into his office and sit down with him. He felt good about us being successful.”
