“He’s a very effective, bright city council member, a two-term Democrat” Lenczewski said. “He talked to me and I am going to support him.”
Carlson is a two-term member of Bloomington’s city council, where Lenczewski served before embarking on her nine-term career at the Minnesota House.
Lenczewski said she hasn’t yet sent Gov. Dayton a formal letter of resignation, but expects her last day as a legislator to be in mid-December. Dayton will then call a special election to fill the District 50B seat.
