Incumbents have huge fundraising leads in legal races

In his campaign for re-election, Justice David Lillehaug raised a whopping $84,156 of last week. By comparison, his opponent Michelle MacDonald reported $315 in fundraising to the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.

Wilhelmina Wright is the other justice up for re-election this fall. She reported $68,755 in fundraising. Her opponent John Hancock did not form a campaign committee to raise funds.

Candidates were required to file fundraising reports with the board for Jan. 1, 2014 through Sept. 16, 2014.

Incumbent Attorney General Lori Swanson raised $302,058.87. Her Republican challenger Scott Newman raised $109,296.97 and Green Party candidate Andy Dawkins raised $20,132.
