Move allowed firm to address space needs and use of technology

Moss & Barnett moves in to Fifth Street Towers

Moss & Barnett has a new home. The firm officially moved in to the Fifth Street Towers Monday after previously calling the Wells Fargo Center home. The firm will lease about 39,000 square feet on two floors. The firm’s phone numbers and websites will stay the same.

Moss & Barnett used RJM Construction for pre-construction services and to evaluate the building’s mechanical and electrical systems.

Thomas J. Shroyer, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Moss & Barnett, said that the move to allowed the firm to design space that is better-suited to the way law firms now operate. The firm has about 30 percent less space at its new office.

“We designed our previous space over 25 years ago, when we had a much higher ratio of support staff to attorneys, when commercial use of the Internet was just a rumor, and when there was little opportunity for lawyers to work remotely. Technology has permanently changed the workflow in a law firm and reduced space needs,” Shroyer said in a statement released Monday. “We expect that the favorable terms of this new lease will provide a strong foundation for continued success.”
