Judicial vacancy in First District

A seat on the bench in the First Judicial District is available due to the retirement of Judge Robert King, Jr.  The Commission on Judicial Selection is now accepting applications and will consider integrity, maturity, health (if job related), judicial temperament, legal knowledge, ability, experience and community service. The judge will be chambered in Hastings.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, St. Paul, MN 55155, or by contacting Andrew Olson, Appointments Coordinator, via e-mail at at andrew.c.olson@state.mn.us. A cover letter and resume should be submitted with the application.

Application materials are due by close of business, Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Interviews are scheduled to be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the Dakota County Judicial Center in Hastings, Minnesota.

Important note:  Candidates who have applied for the existing vacancy in Dakota County, created upon the retirement of the Honorable Richard G. Spicer, may also be considered for this seat.
