Affirmative action ruling adds twist to same-sex marriage cases

Rationale from the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Schuette v. BAMN has now become a focal point in legal challenges to state constitutional amendments barring same-sex marriage pending before several U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals.
