Kathleen Edmond joins RKMC as of Counsel

Kathleen K EdmondKathleen Edmond has joined the law firm of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi as of Counsel with the business litigation group in Minneapolis.

Edmond most recently served as Chief Ethics Officer at Best Buy. She led the company’s ethics program and chaired its ethics committee. She also created triage and investigation protocols and managed complex and sensitive ethics investigations, among other matters.

“[Kathleen’s] significant expertise in corporate ethics and compliance matters is a valuable addition to our litigation practice and we are confident that our clients will significantly benefit from her broad-based background in this area,” said Martin R. Lueck, the firm’s chairman in a release announcing the hire.

Edmond serves as an Advisory Board Member for University of St. Thomas Law School where she provides curriculum guidance for the Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Organizational Ethics and Compliance program. She is also an Executive Fellow at the Center for Ethical Business Cultures at the University of St. Thomas. She earned her J.D., cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, her M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas, her M.S.W. from the University of Minnesota, and her B.A., cum laude, from Augsburg College.
