The Director of the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility has filed a petition requesting the suspension of Terry H. Rueb, a Burnsville attorney.
In the petition, Rueb is accused of failing to respond to more than 60 calls requesting an accounting of expenses and fees in a divorce case. Rueb also is accused of failing to provide accounting for settlement payments collected in another case, refusing to hand over files to a client’s new attorney for a period of time and then handing over files that were incomplete. The petition also alleges that Rueb failed to cooperate with the investigation into allegations of attorney misconduct.
The Minnesota Supreme Court will determine what discipline, if any, Rueb will receive. He has 20 days to respond to the petition.
