MNsure’s goals for open enrollment call for 125,000 Minnesotans to obtain coverage through the exchange, including almost 70,000 individuals buying private insurance. Through its first three months the majority of MNsure’s 67,805 completed enrollments have come from users of public insurance programs MinnesotaCare and Medical Assistance, the state Medicaid program. Analysts said private customers would probably wait until the December or March deadlines approached before purchasing insurance plans through MNsure.
On Friday, January 3, MNsure, the state’s health insurance exchange, released enrollment data for the first three months of operation. (Click to enlarge)
