A man has pleaded guilty to charges in a Fargo-Moorhead child-pornography case that was sparked by a lost cellphone.
Dustin Muscha, 32 of Moorhead, Minn., pleaded guilty in federal court in Fargo, N.D., to two charges of sexual exploitation of minors and two charges of possessing materials involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon says Muscha faces up to 80 years in prison when he is sentenced Aug. 29.
The case came to light when a lost cellphone registered to Muscha was turned in to a Sprint store in Fargo. The store manager browsed files on the phone in an attempt to determine its owner and stumbled across a child-pornography video.
Authorities say they found additional child pornography at a storage unit used by Muscha.
