The Senate GOP caucus has filled out its staff leadership positions for the 2013 legislative session. Kevin Matzek will remain as chief of staff. He will be joined by Leslie Rosedahl as director of public affairs and Brad Biers as communications director.
In addition, Dan Mickelberg will return as director of research and Lucas Nesse will serve as executive assistant to the caucus.
Matzek has been with the Senate caucus since the beginning of 2011. His resume also includes working for the House GOP caucus and serving as director of government affairs for Hospitality Minnesota.
Rosedahl previously ran her own public relations and advocacy firm. She also served as legislative assistant to former state GOP state Sen. Brian LeClair, of Woodbury.
Biers was the committee administrator for the Senate Health and Human Services Committee under Sen. David Hann, who is now the Senate Minority Leader.
“Each person brings a unique skill set, a variety of experiences, and strong dedication to our team,” Hann said in announcing the personnel moves. “I’m optimistic about the direction of our caucus.”
