ABM to run statewide ads criticizing Republican legislators

The liberal advocacy group Alliance for a Better Minnesota is taking to the airwaves attacking Republican legislators who will be on the ballot this November. ABM, which was a major player in the 2010 gubernatorial campaign, is focusing its efforts in this election cycle on the Legislature, which is controlled by Republicans.

The 30-second TV spot, entitled “Too Long,” accuses Republicans in the Legislature of putting the interests of the wealthy “at the expense of the middle class.”

The ad will be broadcast statewide starting Wednesday for a limited time on broadcast and cable TV and is the beginning of the group’s campaign to win targeted legislative seats in November.
