Aaron Biber, the former treasurer of the Minnesota State Bar Association and an ex-lawyer at Minneapolis firm Gray Plant Mooty, was ordered to pay $15 million to the trust of a teenage boy he raped.

Hennepin County Judge Denise Reilly described Biber’s acts as “utterly intolerable to the civilized community.” The family of the boy, who was a friend of Biber’s son, sued Biber for assault, battery and emotional distress in2010. Biber was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Attorneys for the boy say that Biber has the money and the judgment is not dischargeable should Biber file for bankruptcy.
