Dayton appoints Luger, Wiener to Campaign Finance Board

Gov. Mark Dayton has appointed Andy Luger and Deanna Wiener to the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board. They will serve four-year terms on the board that rules on campaign finance complaints.

Luger is a former assistant U.S. attorney. He was the 2006 DFL endorsee for Hennepin County attorney. He lost the primary to Michael Freeman.

Wiener served in the state Senate from 1993 to 2002 as a DFLer representing Eagan.

Wiener replaces former DFL state Rep. Bob Milbert on the board. Luger replaces Terri Ashmore.
