Minnesota Senate Republicans – who now control the chamber  after nearly 40 years in the minority – have started a new radio program to be hosted by Sen. Mike Parry.

The program, “Inside the Senate,” will air Fridays at 10 a.m. on KOWZ News Talk AM-1170 out of Owatonna, Minnesota.

Parry, who is serving his second term after winning a special election last year, said he is looking forward to reaching constituents and other Minnesotans through the program. Parry has managed numerous radio stations and owned radio station KQAQ in Austin.

“With massive budget and jobs deficits, it’s more important now than ever that we create a constructive dialogue with people as we seek the best solutions to move Minnesota forward,” he said in a news release Thursday announcing the program.

Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch and Sen. David Hann will be the program’s first guests on Friday.  The radio show will regularly feature Senate Republicans.
