The Star Tribune reported early this morning that Gov. Mark Dayton will appoint Hamline University professor Lucinda Jesson as the next commissioner of the Department of Human Services.
Jesson, a health law scholar, was profiled in March by PIM’s Paul Demko. She has been a deputy state attorney general and private practice attorney.
The Strib’s Rachel Stassen-Berger noted that Jesson wrote a paper with Myron Frans, who is Dayton’s pick to run the state Revenue Department.
Also, the Mesabi Daily News has word that former House Majority Leader Tony Sertich of Chisholm is Dayton’s pick to be commissioner of Iron Range Resources.
