Ken Peterson named next Labor and Industry commissioner

Ken Peterson, who was Minnesota’s labor and industry (DLI) commissioner during Gov. Rudy Perpich’s administration, will return to the same position in Gov.-elect Mark Dayton’s administration.
Peterson is well-liked by labor. He is also close to Dayton-backer Mike Hatch. When Hatch was attorney general, Peterson was his deputy attorney general for government operations.
DLI handles the states Ocupational Safety and and Health Administration program and the worker’s compensation program.
