Tom Erickson joins Congressman Paulsen’s office

Journeyman Republican political operative Tom Erickson is joining U.S. Rep. Erik Paulsen’s district office as communications director.

He replaces Mark Giga who left the 3rd District congressman’s office to handle communications for the Minnesota Business Partnership.

Erickson most recently was a regional press secretary for the Republican Congressional Campaign Committee. He was also U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman’s deputy press secretary during the 2008 campaign. Prior to that he spent two years at the state Capitol working in Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s communications office.

His twin brother Nick is operations director for the Minnesota Republican Party.
