Former Senate Majority Leader Roger Moe terminated all lobbying clients at the end of November. The reason? He’s serving as an adviser to Governor-elect Mark Dayton‘s transition team.
“I just didn’t feel it was right to have that and work on the transition,” Moe tells PIM, of his former lobbying clients.
Moe, who was the unsuccessful DFL nominee for governor in 2002, previously had 19 lobbying clients registered with the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board. Among them: HealthPartners, Delta Airlines and the Minnesota Beverage Association.
So does this mean Moe is counting on a position in the Dayton administration?
“You should not ready anything into that other than I’ve commited this month to helping with the transition,” Moe said. “That’s the sum and substance of it all.”
If Gov Dayton continues to surround himself with people like Roger Moe, he’s going to have a very successful administration.
