The Democratic Governors Association has sent $250,000 to Minnesota for DFLer Mark Dayton’s recount efforts, the Washington Post’s The Fix reported Wednesday afternoon.
“It’s important for us to pay our share,” DGA Executive Director Nathan Daschle said, according to The Fix post.
Dayton Recount Director Ken Martin said Tuesday that while fundraising had been difficult thus far, the effort had secured more than $1 million for its efforts.
Dayton is in Washington, D.C. for the early part of this week for a series of DGA meetings and events. He’s expected back in Minnesota Wednesday night.
