The governor’s race and three House races that were decided by less than one half of 1 percent will be recounted starting Nov. 29, according to Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie.

The recounts will likely be called after the State Canvassing Board on Nov. 23 certifies this year’s general election results.

The three House recounts are in District 15B in the St. Cloud area, District 25B in the Northfield area and District 27A in the Albert Lea area.

In the 25B and 27A  races, Republicans have unofficially defeated DFL incumbents pending the recount. In 15B, Republican King Banaian will have won by 10 votes in the open seat being vacated by DFL Rep. Larry Haws if the results withstand the recount.

In the governor’s race, times, locations and recount officials are slated for each of Minnesota’s 87 counties.

Counties are required by law to complete the recounts by Dec. 7.
