Former Hatch campaign manager named SEIU’s chief of staff

Jon Youngdahl, who served as campaign manager on former attorney general Mike Hatch‘s 2006 gubernatorial campaign, has been named chief of staff for the Service Employees International Union. Since 2007, Youngdahl has been the Washington, D.C.-based labor union’s political director.
Prior to that he was executive director of the SEIU Minnesota State Council. SEIU is among the most politically active unions in the country and has roughly 2.2 million members in the United States and Canada.
