There are three Republican legislative victories that appear to be heading for an automatic rec
ount. Races that are decided by one half of 1 percent or less trigger a state law requiring an automatic recount. The recounts will occur in:
In District 27A, where Rich Murray received 7,509 votes and Rep. Robin Brown, DFL-Moscow Township, received 7,451 votes.
In District 25B, where Kelby Woodard received 8,898 votes and Rep. David Bly, DFL-Northfield, received 8,867 votes.
In District 15B, an open seat, where Republican King Banaian got 5,435 votes and DFLer Carol Lewis received 5,407 votes.
