Michele Bachmann has her eyes on a leadership post in the House GOP caucus, according to a report from Fox News. Reporter Chad Pergram says there’s a “draft” Bachmann effort being pushed by conservative legislators.
The post reportedly on the two-term incumbent’s radar: Republican conference chair, which is currently held by Rep. Mike Pence, of Indiana. This would make Bachmann the fourth most powerful member of the House if the GOP takes over majority control.
Bachmann has drawn attention this election cycle for raising more money than any other House candidate in the country. She also garnered national headlines in July when she founded a Tea Party caucus.
