Democratic Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson is getting on the air before November, when she will face Republican attorney Chris Barden in the polls.

Swanson has booked about $75,000 of air time on WCCO starting in early October through early November. Barden had no airtime booked on the station.

The first-term attorney general raised about $141,000 with $203,000 in the bank at the end of the last campaign finance reporting period. Her latecomer challenger Barden raised $47,000 and had $4,000 on hand.

The DFL has held the Minnesota Attorney General’s office for the last 40 years.
