Republican U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann is spending some of the $4 million she has raised in her congressional campaign to air a new television ad.
The ad goes after Bachmann’s Democratic opponent, state Sen. Tarryl Clark, who is challenging Bachmann for the House seat in the Sixth Congressional District. Playing to the district’s conservative voting record, the ad says Clark has voted for tax increases every year she has been at the Legislature.
Bachmann has raised nearly $2 million since April, pushing her total fundraising to more than $4 million. Clark has raised more than $2 million in her bid to unseat the two-term congresswoman.
