Roseville City Council member Tammy Pust, who finished third in the non-partisan contest for Ramsey County Attorney, is now supporting David Schultz for the post.

Former St. Paul City Attorney John Choi established himself as the clear frontrunner in the contest, winning support from 50 percent of primary voters. Schultz pulled 29 percent, while Pust was the top choice of 21 percent of those who cast ballots.

“The people of Ramsey County want and deserve a county attorney who has the prosecutorial experience to keep violent and chronic offenders off our streets so families are safe in their neighborhoods,” Pust said in a statement announcing the endorsement. “From the time he and I worked together at the Attorney General’s Office and for the decade since then, David has been doing just that.”
